Like all women who literally just celebrated their 35th birthday five years ago, Hayley Ellis is obsessed with true crime.

Sure, it’s not the most feminist of passions – but since when do we ever do what’s best for ourselves, however old we get?

Join Hayley as she navigates middle age – and as everyone agrees, the middle of anything is always the most delicious part (excluding Donuts, Avocados or plane seats), the joys of remaining (mostly) happily unmarried and the truly horrific journey of later-in-life contraception.Something for everyone.
As seen as tour support for Sarah Millican and Jason Manford.

16 Years of The Inbetweeners: In Conversation with Joe Thomas

We’re talking all things The Inbetweeners at this special evening with actor/comedian Joe Thomas.

It wasn’t long after audiences were first introduced to hapless sixth-formers Will McKenzie, Neil Sutherland, Jay Cartright and Simon Cooper that The Inbetweeners became one of the nation’s best loved shows. With its endlessly quotable lines and outrageous laugh-per-second banter, the sitcom attracted record-breaking viewing figures and inspired two incredibly successful feature films.

Celebrating seventeen years since the show’s debut, Joe Thomas aka Simon Cooper is here in-conversation all about the series and taking questions from the audience. Hearing all about Joe’s favourite Inbetweeners moments and behind the scenes misadventures, as well as its impact on his own life as an actor/comedian, this promises to be an exciting evening of humour and insight from one of the nation’s best loved young sitcom stars.

We’ll also, of course, be touching on Joe’s other work, including Fresh Meat, White Gold and TaskMaster!

Joe is happy to stay around for a short while after the show, meet fans and take pictures.

HOMEWORK

Circa 2007, Joe Thomas was a budding actor/writer headed for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival alongside university writing partner, Simon Bird. While performing their two-man show The Meeting, the pair were spotted by Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, TV producers who were developing an as-then untitled E4 sitcom about four hapless sixth-formers, chronicling their various misadventures.

Later titled The Inbetweeners, the series went on to become Channel 4’s most-watched show ever, winning a Rose D’or for Best Situation Comedy and spawning two feature films, the first of which broke records for having the most successful opening weekend for a comedy film in the UK.

So come along, bring your friends (ooh, friends!), and enjoy an evening of hilarity and insight into the nation’s best loved teen sitcom from one of its key stars.

Bobby Davro – Everything Is Funny If You Can Laugh At It

Following a series of sell-out shows at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, last summer, comedy legend Bobby Davro hits the road for his first tour in over a decade.

Everything Is Funny If You Can Laugh At It is a masterclass in stand-up from one of Britain’s best loved comedians at the top of his game

“…a polished performance of predictably old-fashioned but expertly delivered gags.” – The List

..if more modern comedians had a fraction of his showmanship, the circuit would be a jollier place …spot on delivery… bulletproof professionalism” Chortle

Bobby Davro says: “With the laughter still ringing in my ears from the month of Edinburgh gigs, I thought I’d take the show on the road and catch up with my fans around the country. I hope to prove two things – You’re never too old for a good gag and everything is funny if you can laugh at it. So if you like to laugh, come along – and don’t forget, if you’re on the frontline, you’re in the punchline!

Over the past four decades, Bobby Davro has appeared on a huge variety of television shows, his popularity was at its highest during the mid-1980s with his own Saturday night ITV shows, Bobby Davro on the Box, Bobby Davro’s TV Annual and Bobby Davro’s TV Weekly.

He also made appearances on the popular comedy impressions sketch show Copy Cats. He then went on to play Vinnie Monks in BBC’s EastEnders in 2007 and has appeared on a host of reality shows including Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Come Dine With Me.

He has headlined for over fifteen years in pantomime across the country and his live stand-up shows are legendary!
